I do not know if might be useful: I installed Ubuntu Mate desktop and am using it regularly. I access PIA clicking on the network icon on the top panel, then on VPN Connections. I opened a ticket the first of May and a second one the 9th of May but they did not respond. PIA support is really poor since they removed the live chat. Ls: cannot access /home/asarluhi/.local/share/applications/pia_sktop: No such file or directory $ ls -a ~/.local/share/applications/pia_sktop Ls: cannot access /home/asarluhi/.pia_manager: No such file or directory The instructions in the official documentation do not suit me, because there are no ~/.pia_manager or ~/.local/share/applications/pia_sktop to delete: $ ls -a ~/.pia_manager I would like to try to uninstall the old application and try to install their new one. I am having troubles to have a consistent connection, which lasts no more than 30 minutes, so I am now using openvpn with PIA. Please help as i have spent 4 days now trying to get this to work.I installed the PIA application in 2015 and now I would like to uninstall it. install openvpn Source code sudo apt-get install openvpn Download The Private Internet Access OpenVPN configuration files Source code wget https: // / openvpn / openvpn. Hopefully it will will work for someone else as well. I have been able to create a VPN back to the server so i can access files when out and about but i just cannot make a container where OPENvpn connects to PIA. It also is on Raspbian with Debian and Debian is a specific requirement for installing the Private Internet Access app. The following is a step by step guide of what I did.
